Permanent unbreakable glazing solutions for travel centres, bus terminals and station platforms. Both the low weight and the hard surface of Hammerglass makes it an excellent choice for roofs, walls, elevators etc. The nanotechnology surface treatment makes it easy to remove graffiti and also provides 99.96% UV protection, which means that the material will not discolour or undergo any other change in optical quality over time. The estimated service life of Hammerglass is more than 40 years.
Hammerglass AB offers vandal-proof glazing solutions for roofs, walls, station platforms, elevators and balustrades. Clear or coloured Hammerglass sheets up to 6 metres in length and 4-20 mm thick allow customers and architects considerable freedom in project design and construction. Where larger sections are to be glazed, individual panels can be joined together. Fixing may be carried out with the aid of clamping profiles, Fixpoints or project-specific fixing solutions. With Fixpoints a gap between wall and glazing sheet may also be created. A further advantage is that the glazing material can be cut after the basic supporting structure is in place, in which case each section for glazing and each fixing component is measured individually with 3D laser and then transferred to a CAD drawing for CNC milling.
Roofing solutions involving Hammerglass sheets mounted onto existing structures or project-specific profiles, for example an L-profile with clamping profiles in the glass joints to provide a water-tight seal. Each section for glazing is measured individually, after which the glass sheets are then cut. MORE>>
Glazing of stairways, escalators and elevator connections in existing systems or using new steel structures. Measurements are taken once the steel structure is in place, in order to provide an optimum fit for the Hammerglass panels. The glazing panels are secured throughout using the Hammerglass Fixpoint system to ensure optimum strength.
Replacement of glass in existing station platform shelters, or glazing of new building structures. In exposed situations the glass may be coated with an anti-scratch film in order to protect it from scratches and also facilitate subsequent cleaning. MORE>>
